Veg Manchurian Recipe - How to make Manchurian Gravy

- Carrots - 1
- Beans - 250 grams
- Capsicum - 2
- Cabbage - ½
- Black pepper - ½ tsp
- Garlic - 12 to 15 cloves
- Onion - 1
- Soy sauce - 1 tsp
- Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp
- Green chili sauce - 2 tsp
- Cornflour - 2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp + for deep frying
- Water
- Salt - to taste
- Finely chop garlic cloves.
- Grate carrots. Finely chop beans, 1½ capsicum, and cabbage and mix well.
- Add salt to taste, ½ tsp black pepper and gram flour so as to make dough of chopped veggies.
- Start with making small Manchurian balls of the vegetable dough.
- Heat oil in a pan for frying Manchurian balls. Carefully add balls to the oil for deep frying.
- Remove the balls on tissue paper to drain out excess oil from them and keep aside.
- Now we will prepare gravy for Manchurian. Coarsely chop remaining ½ capsicum and onion.
- Take a pan, heat 1 or 2 tsp of oil. Add chopped capsicum and onion. Sauté, remove in a plate and keep aside.
- In the same pan, saute chopped garlic.
- Now add 1 tsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce and 2 tsp green chili sauce along with ½ cup of water.
- Bring it to boil on simmer and add salt to taste and more water to make Manchurian gravy. Cook on high for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add prepared Manchurian balls.
- Add pan fried onion and capsicum. Mix well.
- In 1 tbsp water mix 2 tsp cornflour and pour the mixture in the pan in order to thicken the gravy. Boil.
- Veg Manchurian is ready. Serve with fried rice or noodles.
