Gooseberry Jam - Amla ki Chatni
 
Sweet and sour jam made with full of Vitamins : Amla / Indian Gooseberry.
Ingredients
  • Amla/ gooseberry - 6 to 7
  • Ghee/ clarified butter - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 4 tsp
  • Cardamom powder / elaichi powder - ¼ tsp
  • Black pepper - ¼ tsp
  • Black or rock salt - ¼ tsp
Instructions
  1. Grate amla/ gooseberry using a grater. And if you are using food processor to grate amla, then deseed it first.
  2. Take ghee and heat it in a pan.
  3. Transfer the grated amla to th pan. Mix well. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add 4 tsp sugar. Mix well. Sugar will make amla moist. Cook till the mixture becomes dry.
  5. Add ¼ tsp Cardamom powder, ¼ tsp black pepper and ¼ tsp black or rock salt. Mix well.
  6. Meethi amle ki chutney is ready. Store in a glass container and serve when required.
